Frequently Asked Questions

You've come to the right page if you want a little bit more information on who I am, how I work and what to expect in therapy.

Q: What is it like to work with you?

A: I think you are unique and valuable and as such I will strive to empower and challenge you to live the life you were meant for. I will not judge you but rather do everything in my power to create a safe environment not only in my office but also in our relationship. I use humor and creativity in session which means that each session will look a little different and be tailored to you and your unique goals! Working with me means we are going to collaborate together to form goals and map the way forward. I also value honesty and authenticity, and as such will encourage you to learn, discover and become curious about the unique, wonderful and valuable person that you are: exploring all aspects of yourself, even the places of pain are worth exploring and I will help you do this.

Q: Are you currently taking new clients?

A: Contact me for a free 20 minute phone consultation as I am currently taking new clients!

Q: How often do you meet with clients?

A: I see clients on a weekly basis. If a client needs more intensive treatment I will see them 2x/week.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: I accept cash, check or credit card. Check out the fees page for more information on using insurance benefits.

Q: Who do you see in your practice?

A: I specialize in working with individuals (adults and teenagers), and work with those who are seeking change and healing in their lives. Many of my clients may enter therapy with fear, trepidation and anxiety but all are ready to do the hard and rewarding work of therapy. Often individuals I see are struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, relational issues, break-ups, stress, eating disorders, and past trauma or abuse.

Q: What is your favorite thing about being a counselor?

A: My favorite part of my job is you! I know it may sound cheesy, but I am honored to be able to enter into my clients stories and walk with them towards healing. There is truly no greater joy.

Q: What if I'm still not sure if therapy is right for me?

A: Give me a call! I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation to answer your questions and determine if we are the right fit for one another. Finding the right therapist can be overwhelming and I understand the challenge it can be to find someone you not only connect with, but also trust. Additionally, I know many fantastic therapists in the area and I am happy to provide you with referrals if necessary. I want you to succeed and be able to make the change you are striving to make!
